Blue Skies

Lovely blue skies today.

An excercise in minimalist comosition and Prussian Blue (my favourite colour at the moment).

The discoverer of Prussian blue, the colormaker Diesbach, was in fact not trying to make a blue, but a red. The creation of Prussian blue, the first modern, synthetic color was completely accidental.

Another fact.

In 1014 AD the English Forest Laws stated that only noblemen could own and hunt with greyhounds. To kill a greyhound was punishable by death.

Too right.

Id forgotten about this one.

From the recent jaunt to Paris

A fact i learned.......

The Eiffel Tower is painted every 7 years, in 3 shades of brown with darkest shade at the bottom. Approximately 60 tons of paint is required to paint it. Even today the Eiffel Tower is painted using mere brushes.
